Intersection for the Arts' Box Set

A Breathtaking, Interactive Limited Edition Art Piece and Artifact

Contains artwork, music, poetry, performance and memories by some of the country’s most well known artists. The four compartments include: a handmade theatre book, a literary compact disc, a jazz compact disc, and five original prints. Each original print is interchangeable as the cover art of the set.

Included are:

A handmade theatre book created by Leslie Linnebur featuring scenes, excerpts, monologues or reflections from theatre makers who have broken ground at Intersection over the years. Artists and pieces include:
  • Text, images and notes from the famed 1989 Disaster Series, by Joe Goode &the Joe Goode Performance Group
  • Text, images and personal recollections from Denis Johnson and his award-winning play which premiered at Intersection in 2003, Soul of a Whore
  • Text and personal notes from co-founder of a Traveling Jewish Theatre, Corey Fischer, with excerpts from Berlin, Jerusalem and the Moon, presented at Intersection for the Arts In North Beach In 1985
  • A compact disc of Erling Wold’s acclaimed chamber opera, A Little Girl Dreams of Taking the Veil, created at Intersection in 1995
  • Notes and excerpts from The Saint Plays, by Erik Ehn
  • Scenes and personal notes from Octavio Solis’El Paso Blue
  • A performance poem by playwright, performer and poet Jessica Hagedorn
  • A performance poem by playwright and poet Ntozake Shange

With a foreword by playwright and former lead teacher of Intersection's Hybrid Project Ricardo Bracho.
