We offer comprehensive six-month internships including hands-on participation in producing, administering and promoting multidisciplinary arts activities. This program is designed to offer those passionate about the arts the opportunity to become a key member of the Intersection team.
Community Relations The Community Relations intern works closely with the Director of Communications and Community Relations to develop and sustain methods and systems for outreach. Intersection Artist Resources Intern The intern will gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the San Francisco arts community and gain business and project management skills. This requires attendance of production meetings and rehearsals to observe/determine the technical needs of the production. They would also be invited to consult with the design team and technical director to assess the viability of planned scenic/lighting/sound elements. The Intern may also be called upon to serve as box office manager, lighting or sound board operator, or running crew member depending on the demands of the performance and the skill level of the Intern.

All Arts Training Internships require a time commitment of 10-12 hours per week for 6 months.
While Intersection Leadership Training Program inerns are unpaid, you will have the advantage of working in a creative atmosphere with artists, writers, and performers; experience in the non-profit arts world; building contacts and working relationships in the Bay Area arts community; school credit; and recommendations. Intersection can be a resource for interns to learn about any and all facets of arts and nonprofit management. Interns will gain skills that can be used in future positions.
